How much does the move cost?
Examples of moving service prices:

Our moving service includes:
- Moving truck (two-seater) with a tailgate lift (capacity 18m3, H: 2.08m, W: 2.04m, L: 4.3m)
- Driver and moving helper (2 capable moving helpers)
- Hand truck, protective blankets, securing straps
- Fuel and mileage
- Transportation permit
- VAT 24%
Prices are influenced by various conditions, such as:
- Access to the front of the moving truck (carrying distance)
- The availability of an elevator
- Large and difficult-to-move objects
- Traffic congestion when moving to a new construction site
Instructions
Packing:
Avoid using miscellaneous transport boxes and bags. Pack loose items in plastic moving boxes or, alternatively, in cardboard ones. This is one of the most time-saving factors in the moving process. Protect dishes and other fragile items with, for example, tissue paper and pack them in moving boxes. Tape together items like hockey sticks, skis, and walking poles, and similar loose items. You can also use garbage bags for items like clothing and other soft materials. NOTE! Remember to leave book boxes slightly less full. It’s also not advisable to overfill moving boxes so they can be stacked on top of each other in the vehicle.
Protection:
Empty drawers and cabinets. Tape or lock the doors. Protect the furniture you think needs it; stretch wrap and bubble wrap are the best for this purpose (remember to remove removable shelves from cabinets before protecting them). Particularly, remember to protect mirrors, paintings, TVs, and other home electronics. You can also leave the protection to the movers, but remember to mention it when making the booking (it is not automatically included in the agreement).
Disassembly:
Disconnect washing machines and other electrical devices/appliances and securely tape the cords to the frame. If there are furniture pieces that need to be disassembled, do so in advance. Remove mirrors, paintings, curtains, and light fixtures (if you want the movers to handle these services, remember to notify them in advance as well). If you wish, you can participate in carrying the items yourself or leave it to the movers. It’s a good idea to discuss this when booking the move as it helps estimate the duration/price of the move. Remember to reserve space for the moving truck near the door (ask your property management for assistance if needed). Keep your pets restrained during the move.
Terms and Conditions
- CONTRACT FORMATION
The moving service company must provide the customer with the opportunity to submit a request for a quote through the company’s website. The customer fills out the quote request form and sends it to the moving service company, which then provides an individualized quote to the customer. If the customer submits a quote request by phone, electronically, or through other means, the moving service company provides the quote in a corresponding manner. The contract between the customer and the company is formed when the customer accepts the quote provided to them, and the company confirms the formation of the contract.
- SCOPE OF THE ASSIGNMENT
The assignment includes the transfer of personal property/furniture from the agreed-upon departure address inside the premises to the agreed-upon receiving address inside the premises. This includes loading the moving items onto the vehicle, unloading them from the vehicle, and transferring them inside the premises at the destination. The scope of the assignment and the start time are specified in the order confirmation.
- SPECIFICALLY AGREED UPON
Unless specifically agreed upon, the assignment does not include the following services:
- The disassembly/assembly or installation of fixed furniture and various household appliances that are part of the property.
- The protection of property surfaces or the protection of movable furniture.
- The transportation of valuables such as money, bank books, securities, precious metals, jewelry, or similar valuables.
- The transfer of safes, pianos, or other particularly heavy items.
- The transportation of animals, live plants, or the storage of these items (e.g., aquariums).
- OBLIGATIONS OF THE MOVING SERVICE COMPANY
The moving service company is obligated to carry out the assignment professionally and with due care. The moving service company must also consider the customer’s best interests with appropriate diligence.
- POSSIBLE SCHEDULE CHANGES
We reserve the right to make schedule changes. External factors beyond our control, such as roadwork, traffic, and vehicle breakdowns, can affect schedules. If there are multiple moves in a day, delays in previous moves may also impact the schedule of the subsequent move. We will inform the customer of any possible delays as soon as possible. Our movers are generally punctual.
- POSSIBLE PRICE CHANGES
We reserve the right to make price changes on the spot or later with an invoice if the move is not in accordance with the customer’s description. The prices have been made based on the move given by the client, and the goal would be that the amount of goods and the description of the move given by client match.
- CANCELLATION OF THE MOVE
The customer has the right to cancel the job at no charge if the cancellation is made at least five business days, including the notification day, before the job is scheduled to begin. If the job is canceled less than five business days before its start, M & T Palvelut Oy has the right to invoice 50% of the job’s value.
For cancellations made less than 24 hours before the moving time, the customer will be charged 100% of the price of the order confirmation.
If the customer (or another person as agreed) is not there and cannot be reached, when the moving team arrives at the destination, or states that he does not want to move anymore, the customer will be charged 100% of the price of the order confirmation.
- DAMAGES IN MOVING SERVICES
Please note that all cabinets should be emptied, and furniture should be protected for the move. Unless otherwise agreed, proper packing is always the responsibility of the customer. If this is not done, and items are damaged, the moving company is not obligated to compensate for damage resulting from inadequate packing. Generally, home insurance covers such damage. It is of utmost importance for the customer to review their own home insurance policy’s terms regarding compensation for moving-related damage.
- PAYMENT
Payment is made immediately after the move unless otherwise agreed upon. The move is typically paid in cash. If our movers have a payment terminal with them, card payment is also a suitable payment method. If a payment terminal is not available, and the customer does not have cash, we will assist the customer in withdrawing cash from an ATM for payment.
